LACK OF UPDATING

I've been receiving a couple of e-mails asking why I haven't been updating the blog for a while, so here's the reason:

I stayed in France for two weeks. In fact, we stayed in the middle of nowhere (like: no internet!). Had a great time, though.. ;) Besides that, I'm seriously progressing with my new blog, which will be released very soon! Curious? Stay tuned!

And to not leave you behind without seeing any fashionrelated stuff, I made a sort of wishlist/things-I-really-like Polyvore. Hope you like it, and once more: stay tuned! :)

Due to the fact that I've been a very busy bee lately, the fact that I'm not having a proper camera ánd the fact that I'm working on my new blog, I really have to admit: I have slightly abandonned my blog. I think I'm going to take a little blog-break, untill my new one is finished. I guess it might not take that long, but I'm looking forward to making a fresh start. Tomorrow I'm heading off to France for a 12-day-trip, so excited!

For now, I'm leaving you guys with this feature of me at the Amsterdam International Fashion Week. I didn't even notice the picture at the Elle-site, but this lovely lady did ;)

THE OUTFIT: AIFW SATURDAY

This weekend turned out to be a weekend full of fashion. I went to the Amsterdam International Fashion Week on friday, saturday and I will be going to catch some shows today. Yesterday I wore an outfit I felt quite comfortable with. I was wearing a loose silk top, paired with baggy chino-ish pants and some high heeled ankle boots. All from Zara. As you can see, I had a little company: my dear friend Dennis came with me, we had a blast ;) I also had a little meeting with Sabrina and Yara. We had some lunch and were amazed by the not-so-well-mannered service at the lunchroom: we were trying to order some food (had to wait for like.. half an hour to order something, and after that they told us we were like 5 minutes loo late to order something.. yeah :S Think I might never have lunch there again.. ;)). I'll show some pictures of the actual shows later on, but for now I have to hurry to make it to the other shows..

BACK IN TOWN: OUTFIT

Hi guys! I'm back from my trip to Rome and I can tell ya: OH-MY-GOD! I lóve that city, the atmosphere, the people, the buildings and and and.. As I promised I'll show you guys some pictures of what I wore this week, but I had to say: this was probably one of my ugliest weeks ever, haha lol :p The temperature was raising up to 40 degrees and I have to admit I couldn't care less about what I looked like. I only felt the urge to wear loose fits and light fabrics. Anyway, this is one of the outfits I wore (and yes, most of the time with my hair tied back in a ponytail or something like that). Enjoy!

EDIT: Obviously, something is going wrong with uplaoding my photo's. The quality went so bad, does anyone know how to fix that?

ARRIVEDERCI!

Tomorrow morning, very very early, me and my bf are heading off to Rome, Italy! SO excited! I've been there before but always dreamed of going back. I lóve this city, the ancient galleries, the cute little 'piazza's' and and and.. I love everything about Rome! I think I won't be able to update this week, but I'll definitely show you guys some pictures of our trip when I get back..

In the meanwhile I'd like to ask you guys whether you could think of something you'd like to read on my new blog. Like I mentioned several times before, I'm working on a new blog (with a little help ;)): new name, new domain, new lay out, just a fresh start! For now, I'd like to hear from you guys what kind of posts you like most. Any other suggestions are welcome too!

ARTEZ: GRADUATIONSHOW ARNHEM

Thursday one of my bff's and I went to the graduationshows from Artez-students in Arnhem (Artez is is the name of the fashion-academy in Arnhem, the Netherlands). One of the graduationstudents approached me via the internet, asking me whether she could borrow a pair of my bikerboots she found out I had in my collection. As a reward she gave me two tickets for the show, so nice :) Overall, I was really impressed by their creations and most of all: of their conceptual ways of thinking.. their special ways of making their creation fit a theme and also being able to stick to their very own unique style. I loved it! Unfortunately, with my crappy camera I didn't manage to take proper pictures, as you can see.. So here are a few of the pictures I made. Extremely blurry, but maybe quite nice, just to make an impression.

BACK TO BASIC: ALLSTARS

For a while now I was wondering wheter I should take black Converses or white ones.. So why not take both of them? I will definitely take them with me to my trip to Rome and France this summer. I suppose I have to do a lot of walking during these trips, so comfortable shoes are a Godsend. Because I wrecked my other pairs (yep, I already owned like.. 15 pairs in all different shapes and colors), this time I bought them in real leather. You might not see that much of a difference, actually.. I can definitely feel it! :)

CALL ME AN IDIOT...

... but this morning I ordered these little babies too, after I already placed an order yesterday (as you can see in my previous post). Don't blame me..

PURCHASE(S): I HEART TOPSHOP

I loooove Topshop! But this time I really restrained myself.. I was waiting for Topshop-sale for several weeks now, because I really wanted to buy some new shorts for my trip to Rome and southern France this summer. The light pants I was longing for turned out to be in sale too, so I bought them immediately, and the joggers seem quite comfy to me.. I already have a pair of joggers from Zara, but I couldn't resist these for this small amount of money. And last but not least: I've been searching for a nude-colored bag for a while now. Found several ones, but mostly too small for my taste; I'm a sucker for lááárge bags! This holdall looks like it will hold 'em all :p What do you guys think? :)
